The Safe Connection Act (SCA) offers survivors of domestic violence the ability to separate their phone line from an abuser’s shared plan, ensuring privacy, security, and independence.

Benefits of the Safe Connection Act
  • Line Separation: Secure and confidential separation from an abuser’s phone plan.
  • Protection for Dependents: Safeguard children and dependents.
  • Continuity of Service: Maintain uninterrupted access to vital resources and support.

The Missing Piece: Where Can Families Go Now?

We’re working directly with city and state officials to push for:

🔹 Temporary placement of tiny homes on vacant lots, parking lots, and driveways for those without immediate access to their property.
🔹 Emergency housing solutions for renters and mobile home residents who have lost everything.
🔹 Streamlined zoning and permit adjustments to allow for rapid deployment of transitional housing.

With your support, we can push for immediate action and secure housing solutions for every wildfire survivor.

Breaking News: Tiny Homes Approved for Wildfire Recovery

Los Angeles Mayor Karen Bass has issued Executive Order #1, guiding transitional housing solutions:

📜 Key Update:
🛠️ Tiny homes, RVs, modular structures, and mobile homes are now permitted on affected properties for up to three years during rebuilding.

💡 But there’s still work to be done.
Many properties won’t be ready for months—with no operational water, sewer, or power. The Executive Order assumes homeowners can immediately place units on their land, but this isn’t always the case.
